Do you contribute to United Way? Would you like some of that money to help People with AIDS?

Although Health Issues Taskforce is not a member agency of United Way, and does not automatically receive funds from United Way, the Taskforce can receive designated donations. Although the Taskforce does not appear in the United Way book given to you by employers, you can "write in" the Taskforce for your pledge. Here's how to make a designated donation to the Taskforce:

Some companies have special "designated donor" or "donor option" cards. Ask your employer for one. Complete the card, listing the Taskforce as the designee.

If your company does not have a special donor option card, you can write in Health Issues Taskforce on your pledge card--either along the top of the card or along a line that may be provided.

You can also write a letter, saying that you wish your pledge to go to the Taskforce. Attach this letter to your pledge card.

You can list the Taskforce in one of the following ways:

Write out "Health Issues Taskforce" along with the address; or

Write "II. I. T." along with the address; or

For United Way in Cuyahoga county only, write "Agency #50994" along with the address. (Some employers may not accept this listing; check first.) Remember to always include our address in the designation: 2250 Euclid Avenue/Cleveland, OH 44115. This is especially important if you work outside of Cuyahoga County. In the past, the Taskforce has received some donations from United Way campaigns in counties outside of Cuyahoga.

Please send us a copy of your donor option card, pledge card, or letter, along with the name of your c.pany. This will help us keep track of donations, and enable us to thank you for your support. If you have any questions, call the Taskforce at 621-0766.

Please share this information with interested friends.
